Dear Bishop Barry,
I am very grateful for your kindness, encouragement, and leadership. I have been able to come alongside the Dine’ leaders with my love & gifts in vital ways and several groups from the East have been able to join in. There has been growth, mutual ministry, and greater unity, in large part, because of your openness and generous guidance. It has been a great pleasure for me. Thank you. A “bridge” bishop in many ways is what Navajoland needed to find our voices and create space for the Holy Spirit to show us the gifts of our language and culture. Your calm pastoral presence is the gift you showed me when you sat with my family in prayers during the two major surgeries. That met a lot to me and my family. Ahé Héé.
