Walking Together Toward Election
A Week of Prayer for the Election of the First Bishop Diocesan of the Missionary Diocese of Navajoland

June 9

Four Days Until Election Convention

Yá’át’ééh.

Discernment is more than making a decision. It is listening for where God is calling us as a people.

As we continue this week of prayer, we give thanks for the generations of faithful Diné Episcopalians whose prayers and leadership have brought us to this moment.

Prayer

Holy One,

Teach us to listen deeply. Help us set aside our own desires and seek the path you are preparing for us. Strengthen our community with patience, wisdom, and grace.

Guide us as we continue walking together.

Amen.

Today’s Invitation: Pray for the people of every congregation and mission of Navajoland as we prepare for this important gathering.

Walking Together Toward Election
A Week of Prayer for the Election of the First Bishop Diocesan of the Missionary Diocese of Navajoland

Monday, June 8

Five Days Until Election Convention

Yá’át’ééh.

As we begin this final week before the Election Convention, we invite the people of Navajoland and our friends across the Church to join us in prayer.

After years of preparation, listening, and discernment, we are approaching a historic moment as the Missionary Diocese of Navajoland prepares to elect its first Bishop Diocesan.

Prayer

Creator God,

As we enter these final days, quiet our hearts and open our ears to your voice. Bless those who will gather for the Day of Discernment and Election Convention. Guide our nominees, delegates, clergy, and all who pray alongside us.

May we walk in beauty, humility, and faith as we seek your will for Navajoland.

Amen.

Today’s Invitation: Pray for all who are preparing to travel to Bluff and for those who will carry the responsibility of discernment and voting.
