Update on the Bishop Election Process
The Election Convention scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026, will not take place as planned. The Day of Discernment on Friday, June 12, will continue as scheduled for delegates, clergy, and invited guests. A gathering for delegates, clergy, and invited guests will be held on Saturday, beginning with lunch at 11:00 a.m.
There will be no livestream.
Gathering Information
Friday, June 12 – Day of Discernment
The Day of Discernment will continue as a gathering for delegates, clergy, and invited guests. This time will be devoted to prayer, reflection, conversation, and holy listening as the Diocese continues its discernment and considers the future leadership of the Missionary Diocese of Navajoland.
Saturday, June 13 – Gathering for Delegates and Leaders
Rather than an Election Convention, Saturday’s gathering will provide an opportunity for delegates, clergy, and diocesan leaders to receive updates, pray together, and continue conversations regarding the bishop election process and the life of the Diocese.
This gathering is not an Election Convention, and no election or balloting will take place.
Additional information regarding future steps in the bishop election process will be shared through official diocesan communications as it becomes available.
